CDB Leasing plans to spend 897 million yuan to purchase 11 bulk carriers! xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-05-31 11:36

China Decelopment Bank Leasing announced that CDB Leasing (International) Company Limited (as the buyer), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, entered into a ship purchase agreement with the seller on May 28, 2021. Accordingly, the buyer agreed to purchase 11 bulk ships from the seller at a price of US $140.5 million (equivalent to about RMB 897 million).
 
The seller is a group of 11 companies incorporated in the Marshall Islands, mainly engaged in international bulk shipping business.
 
According to the announcement, 11 single shipping companies are, CF Clip Triumph LLC, CF Clip Talent LLC, CF Clip Tarpon LLC, CF Clip Lis LLC, CFCL UMAX Clip ILLC, CFCL UMAX Clip II LLC, CFCL JNS III LLC,CFCL JNS I LLC, CFCL JNS II LLC, CF Clip Merlot I LLC, CF Clip Merlot II LLC.
 
The parent company of these single shipping companies should be Clipper Bulk, a Danish dry bulk shipping company that mainly operates handysize ships.
 
Clipper Bulk currently has a fleet of 65-85 vessels, consisting of two vessels of different tonnage managed by Clipper Handy Handling Pool (28-38,000 DWT) and Clipper Bulk Handling Pool (57-64,000 DWT).
