Fujian Port Group's 400,000 DWT terminal officially put into operation xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-05-27 14:58

On May 26, the 400,000 DWT terminal at Luoyu Port of Fujian Port Group was put into operation. The 400,000 dwt ore carrier "YUAN FU HAI" from Brazil, carrying Vale iron ore, first docked at Berth No. 9 of Luoyu Port and operated smoothly.

Luoyu Port has become the first port in Fujian Province and the sixth port in China to meet the requirements of berthing and unloading of the world's largest 400,000 DWT ore carriers. It is also the only port south of Ningbo Port to officially operate 400,000 DWT berths, which has effectively enhanced the competitive strength of Fujian port and opened a new logistics channel for the supply of raw materials in Southeast China.

"Yuan Fu Hai" berthed this time has a load of 398,000 DWT and a length of 361.9 meters. It is the first 400,000 DWT ore carrier that has been berthed after the Luoyu Port No. 9 berth has been officially approved for the berth of 400,000 DWT. The ship is also the largest ore carrier that has been unloaded so far in the coastal ports of Fujian, which has renewed the berthing record of the largest single ore carrier with a capacity of 400,000 DWT in Southeast China

The smooth first berthing of Luoyu Port's 400,000 DWT terminal will promote the normalization of very large ore carriers berthing at Luoyu Port, greatly improve the service capacity of the port, and further consolidate its core position in the southeast coastal bulk cargo terminal
