On April 20th, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding held the keel laying ceremony for the 210,000 DWT series bulk carriers H1520 and H1521 built for ICBC Leasing and to be chartered by CITIC Metal on the same day.

These are the third and fourth vessels in the series, and also the third batch of keel laying nodes realized by No. 1 dock this year. Mr. N.K. CHugh, Manager of the construction group of ICBC Leasing, Lloyd's Surveyor and representatives from relevant departments of the company  attended the ceremony.
It is reported that the H1520/21 ship continues to maintain the consistent high plan correspondence rate of the series ship in the section construction stage, and has achieved the first large nodes as planned.

The integrity of the bottom system of the 10A section of H1521 ship reaches more than 90%, which greatly reduces the outfitting construction amount of the general section of the engine room in the dock, and has accumulated valuable experience for the implementation of the overall grinding of the cancellation of the engine room in the follow-up projects.
