On March 29, 2021, Hudong Zhonghua, a subsidiary of CSSC, China Shipbuilding Trading, and Shenzhen Gas, signed a contract for the construction of 1+1 79,960 m3 LNG carriers.

The ship is propelled by two main engines, two propellers and operated by two rudder systems, making it the world's most capable LNG carrier of the same class.
