Chinese shipowner orders an LNG ship worth 900 million yuan xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-03-05 13:35

On March 4, Shenzhen Gas announced that it plans to increase its capital by no more than US $140.27 million to its wholly-owned subsidiary Shenzhen Gas (Hong Kong) International Co., Ltd, which will set up a holding company in Hong Kong to purchase LNG vessels.
 
The announcement disclosed that the company will purchase the No.96 L03 + membrane 79960 m3 LNG carrier built by Hudong Zhonghua, with a cost of 121 million US dollars and a total investment of 140.27 million US dollars (about RMB 907.55 million).
 
The LNG ship to be built this time will have an annual capacity of about 700,000 DWT, and the project's total investment internal rate of return is expected to be 9%.
