Hudong's 79960 m3 LNG carrier starts construction xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-12-01 17:00


On the morning of November 30th, the second 79960 m3 LNG carrier (H1789A) built by Hudong Zhonghua for Japanese "K" Line officially started construction.

The project adopts the self-developed design and construction technology of Hudong Zhonghua, which is used for the transportation service of Petronas LNG, a subsidiary of Petronas in Malaysia. It is the world's largest shallow water channel fourth generation LNG ship.

This type of ship is China's first river-sea combined transport LNG ship, with a total length of 239 meters and a width of 36.6 meters. It has a GTT NO. 96 L03+ tank type, adopts an efficient low-speed dual-fuel diesel direct propulsion system, and has a speed of 17.5 knots.
