Jiangsu Port Group Container Company was founded on October 16, marking that the Port Group has entered a new stage of promoting "container sector materialization and company operation".
In August, Jiangsu Port completed the container throughput of 614,000 TEU, an increase of 5.3 percent year on year, and also set a record high monthly container throughput since the establishment of the group. In September, the group completed the container throughput of 638,800 TEU, with a year-on-year growth of 12% and a record high.
The newly established container company is the platform for Jiangsu Port Group to implement the planning, investment, construction, operation and management of the container sector, and the implementation subject to promote the integration, intensification and professional development of the group's container sector.
