Zhoushan Port supplies 2.8m tons of bonded oil xinde marine news 2020-09-17 09:52

Zhoushan Port in East China's Zhejiang province supplied 2.81 million metric tons of bonded oil in the first eight months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 13.4 percent, local media reported.

The strong performance can be mainly attributed to the following breakthroughs.

The oil supply at four major anchorage grounds at Zhoushan Port increased significantly. Tiaozhoumen, Xiazhimen, Mazhi, and Xiushandong anchorage grounds provided 1.22 million tons of bonded oil to 1,561 international ships in the Jan-Aug period, a year-on-year increase of 60 percent.

In August alone, Zhoushan Port supplied 420,000 tons of bonded oil, up by 56.73 percent year-on-year.

Moreover, since July, Zhoushan Port has been working to promote the bonded oil supply to large international ships, especially 200,000-ton or above international ships.

As of the end of August, large ships had consumed 45,000 tons of bonded oil at Zhoushan Port.

The port authorities also published a series of preferential policies and innovative measures this year to reduce waiting time and pilotage fees and streamline the inspection process.
