Zhoushan port Jun coal handling up 21.05% YoY sxcoal 2020-07-16 11:02


Coal handling at Zhoushan port in eastern China's Zhejiang province climbed 21.05% year on year to 2.66 million tonnes in June, China News Service reported.
 
The port handled a total 13.92 million tonnes of coal over January-June, rising 12% from a year ago.
 
In June, the port saw cargo throughput grow 9.11% year on year to 64.47 million tonnes, hitting a new high.
 
Foreign trade cargo throughput stood at 15.65 million tonnes, an increase of 4.67% year on year; and container throughput came in at 173,300 TEUs, a yearly increase of 15.64%.
 
During the first half of the year, cargo throughput of the port totaled 284 million tonnes, up 7.09% on the year, with foreign trade cargo at 90 million tonnes (15.27% YoY) and container throughput at 820,000 TEUs (20.26% YoY).
