On May 11, the ship "ANSHEN 5" arrived at the No. 3 anchorage and successfully added 1600 tons of low-sulfur fuel oil for the large oil tanker "NEW VISTA".

It marks the completion of the first order of oil supply business for large vessels in Qingdao area, which has been promoted by Qingdao Port in Shandong province, and marks the pioneer of oil supply business for ships in Qingdao area.

As an important global crude oil trade distribution center, the throughput of Qingdao Port has exceeded 100 million tons for three consecutive years, maintaining the country's largest port of imported oil.

In order to further expand the ship's oil supply market, Qingdao Port received strong support from the Qingdao MSA within the shortest time. It has laid a solid foundation for the smooth development of pilot oil supply business for ships in Qingdao area.

Since the coronavirus outbreak, the development of international shipping companies has faced a severe situation of decreasing demand, shrinking supply and rising costs.

The realization of bunkering for large ships in Qingdao area will attract more large ships to add low-sulfur fuel oil in Qingdao area.
