The world's first largest LNG bunkering vessel delivered in Hudong Zhonghua xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-04-30 16:49

On April 30, the world's largest and most advanced 18,600mLNG bunkering vessel H1817A built by CSSC Hudong Zhonghua was successfully delivered.

The construction of the world's largest LNG bunkering ship marks that Hudong Zhonghua has set a new benchmark for the development of the bunkering ship industry.

The LNG bunkering vessel is 135 meters long and uses Mark III FLEX type membrane containment system of GTT. It is the world's first LNG bunkering vessel applying the membrane type Mark III FLEX enclosure system.

This world's most advanced bunkering vessel uses tank vaporized gas as the main fuel and has three major characteristics: First, the ability of filling operation is strong. Second, professional services cover a wide range. Third, the handling performance is excellent.

At present, there are only 9 full-time LNG bunkering vessels with a capacity of more than 1000m3 in the world, and 8 ships under construction. The maximum capacity is only 7,500m3, which cannot meet the prosperity of LNG bunkering ships demand.

There are more than 300 LNG dual-fuel ships under construction in the world. With the implementation of 2020 global sulphur cap, the demand for LNG bunkering ships will increase, and the prospect of LNG bunkering ships market is promising.
