On April 29, China Shipbuilding Trading, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, Guangzhou shipyard International and Bank of Communications Financial Leasing signed 12 120,000-ton dual fuel tankers construction contracts in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou in the form of "video contract", with a total contract amount of about 4.6 billion yuan.
This is another large order received by China State Shipbuilding Corporation.
This series of vessels will be built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and Guangzhou Shipyard International. Among them,4 were built by Waigaoqiao, and 8 were built by GSI. They are scheduled to be completed and delivered in 2023.
Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and Guangzhou Shipyard International have accumulated rich experience in the field of LRII oil tankers. They have fully optimized and upgraded the new ship in the aspects of new line research and development, hull main structure design, LNG supply system equipment, and added dual fuel related systems such as LNG fuel tank and gas supply system.
This series of oil tanker is the "optimized and upgraded" version of LRII dual-fuel oil tanker, which meets the IMO TIER III emission standard, and has the characteristics of fast speed, light weight of empty vessel, low energy consumption and strong adaptability.
The signing of the project will inject strong momentum into promoting the stable development of the global energy industry and boosting global economic confidence, CSSC said.
