Construction ceremony of four 325,000 DWT VLOC was held in Yangzi Xinfu xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-03-25 17:21

On March 24, the construction ceremony of the first four 325,000 dwt very large ore carriers built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group was held in Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding. The project is financed by Bank of Communications Financial Leasing and is operated by South Korea's Kukje Maritime Investment Corporation (Kmarin).

Due to the critical period of epidemic prevention, Bank of Communications Financial Leasing and the shipowner Kmarin were unable to attend the opening ceremony. After active communication with both parties, the ceremony was completed in the form of "cloud commencement".
Mr. Wang Hongbin, Deputy Director of CCS Jiangyin Office, Mr. Liu Yaoyong, Jiangyin Regional Manager of DNV.GL, Mr. Yan wenfeng, Site Office Manager of LR,and Mr. Yang Xueyan, Deputy General Manager of Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding and other leaders attended the on-site construction ceremony.

This batch of four 325,000 DWT VLOCs is the second largest tonnage type built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group after 400,000 DWT ultra-large ore carriers.

The ship belongs to Guaibamax type VLOC, with a total length of 340 meters, a vertical length of 333.1 meters, a ship width of 62 meters, a ship depth of 29.5 meters, a structural draught of 21.4 meters, and a load of 325,000 tons.

It adopts LNG-ready design, installs open-loop scrubbers and meets closed installation design. It will meet IMO Tier II and SOx emission requirements, and is an energy-efficient ship. This batch of ships is expected to be delivered from June to December 2021.
