On March 19, Group President Hu Jianhua met with Chen Xiaoying, Commissioner of Shenzhen Customs. Tan Hua and Tu Lin, Deputy Commissioners of Shenzhen Customs, attended the meeting.
Hu Jianhua expressed gratitude to Shenzhen Customs for its support to China Merchants Group during the epidemic prevention and control. He pointed out that the sudden outbreak has exerted a relatively large impact on the Group's various sectors.
However, out of crisis comes opportunity, with the Group's many enterprises overseas, the advantages of international cooperation were fully embodied this time with a global deployment of anti-epidemic materials and mutual support at home and abroad, during which, China Merchants Group had received strong support from Shenzhen Customs. Chen Xiaoying thanked
China Merchants Group for its support for Shenzhen Customs all along. He stressed that Shenzhen Customs and China Merchants Group had formed a firm basis for cooperation in jointly promoting the customs clearance reform. Under the increasing pressure of economic downturns, Shenzhen Customs should turn pressure into motivation and turn crisis into opportunity, as well as continue to support China Merchants Group in terms of anti-epidemic and resumption of work and production.
During the meeting, China Merchants Port, China Merchants Industry and China Merchants Shekou also reported on recent work, respectively. The two parties conducted in-depth exchanges over the following cooperation.
