A shipping company in Shanghai sanctioned by the US xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-03-20 18:03

On March 18, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department updated its list of sanctions related to Iran.

A number of Chinese companies appeared on the list.

This includes a ship management company in Shanghai and its subsidiary in Hong Kong. In addition, three import and export trading companies in Dalian are also on the list.

OFAC did not explain in detail why the companies were listed. However, as far as the name of the notice is concerned, we can see that it may be related to the Iranian issue.
