On March 5, HUANGHAI GLORY, a Hong Kong flag cargo ship with 23 Chinese seafarers on board, was attacked by armed pirates boarding it in the gulf of guinea near Lagos Port, Nigeria.
 
According to XINDE MARINE NEWS, in the face of the threat of pirates, the captain of "HUANGHAI GLORY" , calmly commanded, all the seafarers united, successfully escaped through strict preventive measures and scientific actions, and finally all the crew members on board were safe.

Details of this incident:
 
March 5: 1915lt, after the ship was found to be chased by pirates, the captain immediately instructed the bridge watch crew to activate the Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) and lead all crew members to complete an emergency evacuation and enter the safety cabin.
 
In the end, after 17 hours,confirming that the pirate had left the ship, all 23 crew members were out of danger, and everyone was safe.
 
Under the protection of Nigerian Navy, with the assistance of Chinese Embassy, the guidance of the ship management company, and the attention and coordination of other parties, the ship has now successfully returned to the anchorage in Lagos to be moored for further investigation and rest.
