On February 28, the LNG bunkering operation of "YongGangXiaoTuo 60" was successfully completed in Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. This is the first time for such a bunkering operation in Zhejiang Province.

In recent years, with the in-depth promotion of ship air pollution prevention and control, new progress has been made in the construction of "green port" of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. At the end of 2019, the first dual fuel (LNG and fuel oil) powered ship,YongGangXiaoTuo 60, was put into operation in Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, which is also the first LNG tug in Zhejiang Province. The LNG fuel used by the tug can achieve zero emissions of inhalable particles and sulfur dioxide, and completely eliminate the "black smoke" phenomenon.

With the strong support of authorities, the operation is coordinated by Ningbo Zhoushan Port Company Oil Port Barge Branch, Ningbo Zhoushan Port Beilun Ore Terminal Branch and CNOOC Zhejiang New Energy, and under the guidance of Beilun Port Fire Brigade, in strict accordance with the requirements for the "Safety Supervision and Management Measures for Water LNG Bunkering Operations" issued by China MSA. Measures such as bunkering form, safety of both parties and bunkering conditions shall be implemented. And to ensure the operation process is safe, smooth and orderly. The entire bunkering process took 3.5 hours and 14.7 tons of LNG fuel was successfully transferred.
