Shenzhen grants RMB 410 million to help port and shipping enterprises return to work xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-02-26 16:12

A few days ago, the Municipal Transportation Bureau released the subsidy fund for the port and shipping industry in 2019, with a total amount of up to 410 million yuan, benefiting nearly 100 key port and shipping enterprises in the city.

In 2019, Shenzhen Port ranked fourth in the world in terms of container throughput, with 211 international liner routes and access to more than 300 ports in more than 100 countries.

During the epidemic period, shipping enterprises were faced with difficulties such as shutdown, staff returning to work, and capital chain tension, which affected the operating efficiency of the shipping industry chain.

In order to reduce the negative impact of the epidemic on the industry, the Municipal Transportation Bureau coordinated with port enterprises to reduce the in-port storage yard usage fees during the epidemic period, coordinated with the prevention and control departments to speed up the approval for the resumption of work, assisted enterprises to resume work as soon as possible, and the subsidy funds for the port and shipping industry in 2019 will be distributed in advance, with the amount as high as 410 million yuan.

The fund benefited the whole industry chain of port shipping, covering liner, barge, cruise, freight forwarding and other industries. To some extent, it relieved the pressure of capital shortage of port and shipping enterprises during the outbreak and boosted market confidence.
