US lifts sanctions on Cosco Shipping Tanker(Dalian) xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-02-03 16:04


On January 31, The US government has lifted sanctions on Cosco Shipping Tanker(Dalian). Although the US government issued twice to extend the temporary exemption for Cosco Shipping Tanker(Dalian), many of its large tankers have been unable to operate normally. Ben Nolan, an analyst at Stifel, a research firm, said about 20 to 25 large tankers of COSCO SHIPPING were idle or underutilized.After being removed from the SND list on January 31, some vessels of Cosco Shipping Tanker(Dalian) have begun to resume navigation.

COSCO Shipping Tanker Dalian Seaman and Ship Management,which was also included in the SDN list on September 25, 2019,has stopped its business operation.The company is currently in the process of liquidation, and has carried out liquidation group filing and creditor announcement on January 19, 2020. The reason for cancellation of filing is "dissolution of resolution".
