1.On January 17, Hudong Zhonghua, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, won the construction contract for two 79,900 cubic meters LNG vessels supporting the Malaysian LNG project.

2.China MSA issued the "Guidelines for Supervision and Management of Air Pollutant Emissions "to local maritime safety administration", which will be implemented from January 1, 2020.

3.Binhai Heavy Machinery, a subsidiary yard of Taiyuan Heavy Industry, has entered into a charter contract with Mexican drilling company Perforaciones Marítimas Mexicanas (PMM) for a newbuild jackup rig.

4.John Michael Radziwill’s C Transport Maritime finished 2019 with a flurry, announcing that it has two new owners joining its Supramax Revenue Sharing Agreement, Hong Kong’s Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings and Norway’s Stone Shipping.

5.China's demand for steel is expected to register an uptick in 2020, according to a guild report.

6.China's space-tracking ship finished being overhauled Yuanwang-6 on Friday,and is now preparing for future missions. 

7.On the afternoon of January 16, COSCO SHIPPING signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Shanghai Construction Group (SCG). 

8.On the afternoon of January 14, a delegation headed by President of CCS Mr. Mo Jianhui and Party Secretary of CCS Mr. Li Changjian visited COSCO SHIPPING.
