1.BIMCO announced that following a thorough executive search, it has appointed David Loosley as its new Secretary General & CEO with effect from June 2020. 

2.The legal representative of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding was changed from Ren Yuanlin to Ren Letian.

3.China is considering scaling back or even ending national subsidies for new offshore wind farms in 2022, state media reported. 

4.German owner H.Vogemann has placed an order at China's Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for the construction of six 40,000 dwt open hatch handy bulkers.

5.China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has given approval to a major internal restructuring deal of CSSC,paving way for the merger of state-owned shipbuilding conglomerates CSSC and CSIC.

6.German tanker owner Carl Buttner has signed shipbuilding contracts with Chinese yard Hantong Ship Heavy Industry for the construction of up to two 38,000 dwt chemical tankers.

7.Beijing has given the green light to a tax waiver on exports of very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) with Chinese refiners keen to take a significant global market share of the new fuel type.

8.KONGSBERG and DNV GL have signed an agreement to enable customers of KONGSBERG’s Vessel Insight data infrastructure solution to share their data for use in DNV GL's digital class and assurance services.
