On 5 December 2019, China Merchants Port Holdings Company Limited (“CMPort” or “ the Company”) was awarded “The Golden Bauhinia - Listed Company with the Most Investment Potential in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(‘GBA’)” (金紫荆「一带一路」最佳实践上市公司奖) on the China Securities Golden Bauhinia Awards Ceremony organised by Ta Kung Pao, in celebration of the official release of “the development plan for GBA” as well as 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Ms. Zhao Jianli, the General Manager of the Administration Department/Shenzhen Home Port Affairs Department of CMPort, accepted the award representing CMPort.
Mr. Jiang Zaizhong, member of the CPPCC National Committee and the Chairman of Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, Ms. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, the Chief Executive of HKSAR, Mr. Song Zhiping, the Chairman of China Association for Public Companies, as well as Directors, CEOs and company representatives from over 100 listed companies in Mainland China and Hong Kong attended the event.
As the pioneer of transportation infrastructure investment in Shekou, Shenzhen, CMPort is naturally an important builder of GBA. Since the reform and opening of China, CMPort has seized the development opportunities of GBA from various aspects. The Company have made remarkable achievements in port investment, open management and bonded logistics, and has also become the industry leader in port innovation technology. CMPort opened the first GBA “5G Intelligence Innovation Laboratory” in June 2019 and assist Shenzhen to form the 5G international science and technology industry innovation center in GBA. Moreover, the Company build a Smart Port platform in GBA through the transformation of Haixing Port into a highly automated “Smart Port” in year 2020. Furthermore, actively participated in the overall Qianhai Land Development Project through signing of various Land Restructuring Agreement in year 2018. In the future, CMPort intends to make great achievements in GBA.
The China Securities Golden Bauhinia Awards Ceremony was jointly held by Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, Listed Companies Association of Beijing, Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, Chinese Securities Association of Hong Kong, Chinese Financial Association of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Securities Professionals Association and Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries. The event was widely recognized and has been held for nine consecutive years. CMPort has won many awards from the event as a listed company in the port and shipping industry with outstanding performance.
