1.LR has granted Approval in Principle (AiP) to China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd. (CMES), CNOOC Gas and Power Group, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC), and Gaztransport and Technigaz SA (GTT) for an LNG-fuelled VLCC design that uses a prismatic GTT Mark III membrane LNG tank.

2.China State Shipbuilding Corp is constructing the nation's largest and most advanced research vessel, according to project leaders.

3.China delivered its self-made world's top class 350,000 tons of offshore floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit P70 to Brazil in Qingdao City of east China's Shandong Province on Wednesday. 

4.Four people are missing after a fishing boat sank in the sea near East China's Fujian province Thursday morning, local authorities said.

5.Chinese engineers are striving to finish the construction of the world's first manned submersible capable of conducting complex scientific research in the deepest part of the oceans — the bottom of the Marianas Trench — before the end of this year, according to a project insider.
