On November 18, STENA ESTRID, an advanced RoPax built by AVIC Ship and China Merchants Jinling Shipyard(Weihai) for Swedish STENA, was successfully delivered.
STENA RoPax was contracted on April 5, 2016. The project started on June 22, 2017, started construction on August 25, 2017, laid keel on February 2, 2018, launched on January 16, 2019, and formally delivered on November 15.
STENA E-Flexer is the first advanced RoPax built in China to operate European international routes. It is also a key product in the process of “transforming and upgrading Weihai Shipyard” and “building a world-leading advanced RoPax ship construction base”.
This RoPax ship will will soon be put into operation and start a new voyage, and will connect the international passenger route of Holyhead and Dublin, Ireland in the future, which will become the most efficient and advanced on the route.
