On the afternoon of November 4, the signing ceremony of the Letter of Intent on Cooperation between COSCO SHPIPING Europe and China Dongfeng Motor Industry Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd. was held at the COSCO SHIPPING headquarters. In the presence of Mr. Wang Haimin, Executive Vice President of COSCO SHIPPING and Mr. You Zheng, Deputy General Manager of Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFM), Mr. Li Junzhi, General Manager of China Dongfeng Motor Industry Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd. and Mr. Lin Ji, Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Europe, signed the letter of intent on behalf of the two sides.

Adhering to the principles of “long-term perspective, mutual benefit, market-orientation and win-win results”, COSCO SHIPPING and DFM have maintained closed cooperation in logistics, ports and overseas development. The signing of this letter of intent on cooperation is an important initiative to further enhance cooperation and fully implement the strategic cooperative partnership between the two sides following a strategic cooperation agreement they signed in Shanghai in 2017. It will help them jointly expand the European market and set an example of “win-win cooperation” between centrally-administered SOEs overseas.

Executives from DFM’s related divisions and subsidiaries as well as their COSCO SHIPPING counterparts witnessed the signing ceremony.
