Guangzhou Nansha Free Trade Zone Ship Registration Innovation and Convenience Flag Ship Returning Ceremony was held in Nansha, Guangzhou on 30 October.
At the meeting, it was announced that 10 Chinese-funded “Convenience Flag” ships belonging to COSCO Shipping Bulk, with a total capacity of 547,000 DWT, were returned to Nansha, Guangzhou for registration, and the port of registry is “Guangzhou, China”, with a total value of about 940 million yuan. By September 1, 2019, China MSA had handled 78 Chinese-funded “Convenience Flag” ships, and the Nansha Free Trade Zone accounted for 12.8% of the total return registration.
At the same time, the Nansha Free Trade Zone has also issued a support policy for the shipping logistics industry, granting 60 yuan/GT of ships registered as “Guangzhou, China”, and the mortgage registration subsidy of 2% of the amount of credit is given. Meanwhile, to give the corresponding reward and support measures for ship transactions, international ship management, seafarer training, seafarer assignments and seafarers' individual economic contributions.
