1.COSCO SHIPPING Holdings announced itsfinancialresults for the first third quarters of 2019,and the Company had achieved revenue of RMB 111.6 billion, representing an increase of 35.9 %.

2.The construction of China's largest comprehensive maritime scientific research ship kicked off in Shanghai on Monday.

3.Ningbo Marine announced that the company's controlling subsidiary Zheneng Tongli Shipping plans to purchase a second-hand bulk carrier in the near future to update the scrapped ship.

4.The Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and DNV GL have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) mapping out a three-year R&D collaboration.

5.Drewry Shipping Consultants says that if container carriers “refrain from returning too much capacity, there is a reasonable hope for higher freight rates as we approach Black Friday

6.Xiamen, a scenic coastal city in East China's Fujian province, recorded strong growth in its cruise industry this year although the sector as a whole in China experienced a slight dip after a decade of rapid progress.

7.Chinese state-controlled utility Guodian has issued a tender to buy 680,000t of imported thermal coal for delivery to its power plants in south China's Fujian province. 

8.The 6th Global FPSO & FLNG & FSRU Conference 2019 ended in Shanghai on October 25th.The conference focused on digitalization, modularization, contractor, operational optimization.
