1.YMF2019 will be held October 21 through October 25 and will provide a platform to initiate discussions and inspire ideas among the world’s industries, with a focus on sustainability, diversity and harmonization of port and maritime industries.

2.CMAC released Fuel Supply Standard Contract and Fuel Injection Dispute Processing Platform in the 3rd International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference. 

3.China’s state-owned bunker supplier Chimbusco revealed that it has secured at least 4m tonnes of very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) and started initial supplies to all major Chinese ports from bonded storage, ahead of IMO 2020, reports said

4.China's top legislature on Monday started reviewing a draft decision on authorizing the jurisdiction of Macao's port zone at Hengqin port and extended areas in south China's Guangdong province to the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).

5.China's offshore wind energy has big potential to be developed, which indicates high likelihood for the country to gradually wean off heavy reliance on fossil fuel energy in the future, sources said recently. 

6.China Petroleum & Chemical Corp, known as Sinopec, said it has secured 8.81 billion cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas for northern China for the upcoming winter heating season, state-owned Xinhua News Agency reported on October 22 

7.China has allotted a third batch of crude import quotas to 19 qualified refineries, totaling 12.9 million mt, according to a document seen by S&P Global Platts Tuesday.

8.On October 20, the 110th Anniversary Celebration of Shanghai Maritime University and the World Maritime  Conference 2019 took place in Shanghai. Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Capt. Xu Lirong were invited to the event.
