1.Lloyd’s Register (LR) has signed an agreement for a joint development project (JDP) with CMES,CNOOC Gas and Power Group, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry, and GTT  to design an LNG-fuelled VLCC.

2.ABS built on its position as the class organization of choice for Chinese shipbuilder by granting AIP for two next generation gas carrier designs from Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co. Ltd. 

3.On Wednesday 18th September 2019, the International Standards Organisation (ISO) released their Publicly Available Specification (PAS).

4.China has taken steps to increase oil and gas production to keep dependence on foreign energy supply at a rational level, said Zhang Jianhua, head of the National Energy Administration, on Friday.

5.Yangtze River Jiangsu Section will receive sewage and garbage from ships free of charge.

6.Mr Wang Yongxin, President of CMES, and his team was invited to visit Taiwan by CPC. They visited the CPC Corporation, Formosa Petrochemical and Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation. 

7.The berthing of the container freighter M.V. Arnold Maersk at Guangzhou's Nansha Port on Sept 16 marks the opening of the first container line from the city to the east coast of the United States.

8.Managing Director of Clarksons Research commented, “Despite a range of economic “headwinds”, our overall earnings indicator, the ClarkSea, has continued to trend upwards this year.
