1.China Merchants Group successfully held the christening and delivery ceremony for China's first expedition cruise ship and foundation laying ceremony for cruise shipbuilding base.
2.Shanghai Shipping Exchange and CargoSmart Limited have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to develop a new shipping index for ocean carrier schedule reliability. 
3.COSCO SHIPPING Specialized signed a transportation contract with Hyundai Heavy Industries in July for Murphy’s King’s Quay floating production unit (FPU).  
4.Hempel has launched an innovative new fouling defence system – Hempaguard MaX. This unique three-coat system provides vessels with a smoother hull. 
5.China steps up bid for port integration, reorganization.Sea routes combined with railway transportation will further cut costs and transportation times.
6.CN announced that COSCO Shipping has chosen CN to be the exclusive rail provider for the Chinese state-owned shipping company's discharge at the Ports of Vancouver, Prince Rupert, Montreal, and Halifax.
7.Cosco PetroChina Shipping, a joint venture between Cosco and PetroChina, has entered into an agreement with Dalian-based Hengli Petrochemical for the transportation of oil products.
8.With several new insurance companies gaining licences in Hong Kong recently, marine business in the first half of 2019 showed strong growth, with gross premiums increasing 23.6% to HK$1.7bn.
