1.Russian natural gas producer Novatek announced that the Arc7 ice-class LNG tanker ‘Vladimir Rusanov’ completed the Northern Sea Route (NSR) passage via the Eastern direction, delivering a LNG cargo from the Yamal LNG project, at the port of Sabetta, to China’s port of Tianjin.
 
2.China's liquefied natural gas (LNG) average price increased 0.5% from ten days ago to 3,505 yuan/t ($ 525.8/t) over July 11-20, showed the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). 
 
3.Beijing-based China Minsheng Trust has broken a long pause from the sale-and-purchase market with a profitable capesize sale to Qingdao-based Agricore Shipping.
 
4.Coking coal futures in China edged higher on Thursday on expectations that spot prices of the steelmaking raw material will remain strong, supported by brisk demand as the world’s largest steel producer ramps up output.
 
5.Despite the carrot of a potential exemption from import tariffs, Chinese soybean crushers are unlikely to buy in bulk from the United States any time soon as they grapple with poor margins and longer-term doubts about Sino-U.S. trade relations, people familiar with the matter said.
 
6.Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) is creating an LPG shipping joint venture with China’s Wanhua Chemical. The agreement builds on an earlier 10-year LPG supply contract and will include the operation of two very large gas carrier vessels.
 
7.Guangdong-based Dapeng LNG terminal, China's first LNG terminal, had received more than 1,000 ships of the fuel as of July 19 since its operation in 2006, Xinhua News Agency reported. 
 
8.The United States has imposed sanctions on a Chinese oil trading company and its chief executive for buying oil from Iran.According to a State Department announcement from July 22, Zhuhai Zhenrong Company Limited was sanctioned for knowingly engaging in a significant transaction for the purchase or acquisition of crude oil from Iran.
