COSCO SHIPPING Holdings Entered the 2019 “Fortune China 500” List with a Higher Ranking xinde marine news 2019-07-16 14:15


On the 2019 “Fortune China 500” List released on July 10, COSCO SHIPPING Holdings took the 75th place, a continuous rise in its rankings over the past three years (91st in 2017 and 87th in 2018) after the restructuring. It demonstrated a significant progress in the company’s business performance in the last three years.
 
Fortune China 500, compiled by Fortune (China), a well-known financial magazine, and China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC), assesses the business performance and financial results of the biggest Chinese listed companies around the world in the past year.
 
In the first quarter of 2019, COSCO SHIPPING got off to a good start by actively seizing market opportunities and improving development quality. The operating revenue in Q1 reached 35.075 billion yuan, while the net profit surged by 280% year on year to 687 million yuan.
 
In the future, COSCO SHIPIPNG Holdings will continue to develop container shipping, terminal operation and related business to optimize its shipping value chain. Through collaboration and lean management, it will constantly enhance the overall competitiveness of container shipping and port service while promoting sound development of its various businesses, with a view to offering customers higher-quality service and maximizing corporate profit, corporate value and shareholder returns.
