Jiangnan Shipyard Won Two VLGCs Order from Oriental Petroleum
CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard has won the order for construction of two 84,000 cubic meter VLGCs for Oriental Petroleum. The contract signed on Jan 16 and it is the first cooperation between the two parties.
The vessel is an upgraded VLGC2.0 designed independently by Jiangnan Shipyard. It meets the new IGC and Tier III requirements with a total length of 230.0 meters, a width of 36.6 meters, a depth of 22.2 meters, a draft design of 11.4 meters. The vessel will be classified by LR, supervised by Anglo Eastern and flying Liberia flag.
Oriental Petroleum is the parent company of Chinese LPG trader Oriental Energy. The two vessels will be charted to Oriental Energy on long term contract upon completion.
