Crude Oil Tanker SANCHI Collided and Fired at East China Sea

The Panama flag tanker “SANCHI” collided with Hongkong flag bulker “CF CRYSTAL”on Beijing time 20:00 Jan 6, 2018 from 160 miles east of China Yangtze Estuary according to Ministry of Transport.
The accident caused “SANCHI” to fire, the tanker was tilted to the right and all crew missing. The bulk carrier "CF CRYSTAL" was damaged without jeopardizing the safety of the bulk, and 21 crew members were rescued safely.
China Maritime Search and Rescue Center and Shanghai Maritime Search and Rescue Center dispatched several ships to search and rescue. Till 9:00 on Jan 7, "HAI XUN 01" and the rescue boat "DONG HAI JIU 101" " DONG HAI JIU 117" has arrived at the scene, "China Maritime Police 31240" boat, three professional cleaning ships and high-powered tugboat rushed to the scene, Shanghai Fire Prevention Bureau has sent fire protection specialist to go with the ship.
Coordinated by the China Maritime Search and Rescue Center, the South Korean Marine Police Agency has dispatched a coast guard ship and a fixed-wing aircraft to the scene. At present, the "SANCHI" tanker is in a floating state and is still burning with oil on the sea surface. The search and rescue operations are under way.
The Panama flag tanker "SANCHI" belongs to Iran BRIGHT SHIPPING LIMITED. The tanker is 274 meters in length, carrying about 136,000-ton gas condensate, heading for South Korea from Ira. There are 32 crew members in the tanker, of which 30 Iranian, 2 Bangladesh, currently in the state of losing contacts.
