ICBC Leasing Signed Six VLOCs Contract with Beihai Shipbuilding
ICBC Leasing orders six VLOCs at China’s Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry on December 27, 2017. Totally, ICBC Leasing has orders 6+3 VLOCs at Beihai Shipbuilding and those vessels will be delivered from late 2019 to 2021.
The signing of the 325,000-ton LNG-ready ship will mainly transport iron ore from Brazil to Asia. Each vessel will cost about $ 75 million with 340 meters in length and 62 meters in width.
This contract is a part of the long-term contract of affreightment (COA) signed with Brazil’s Vale. Besides, the vessel also meets the IMO Tier III emission standards and will significantly reduce transportation costs compared to conventional ones.
