On May 11, 2017, the world's leading fully automatic terminal in Qingdao, the first in Asia, was put into commercial operation. The system runs steadily and reliably. It implements full-intelligent decision-making and system-wide management with independent intellectual property rights in Qingdao Port and subverts the traditional container terminal operation mode, creating a new era of fully automatic container operations.
In the past 7 months, the "Qingdao Model" featuring low cost, short cycle, high starting point, full intelligence, high efficiency, safety and zero emission and has drawn wide attention both at home and abroad.
It is reported that since QQCTN’s commercial operation from May 11 this year, its system keeps stable and efficient. Currently a total of 14 routes operated to achieve weekly rotation. QQCTN has more than 270 vessels with a throughput of more than 350,000 TEU and the rate of on-schedule is 100%.
