1.Chinese dry bulk owner Jinhui Shipping and Transportation has announced the sale of -built supramax Jin Zhou for $7.38m.The vessel was sold to Singapore ship brokering and ship management company Poseidon Global Shipping, and continues a run of vessel sales completed by Jinhui since 2016.
 
2.China Merchants Group has started the integration of its shipyard assets as part of the ongoing internal restructuring process following its merger with Sinotrans & CSC.China Merchants Group has taken over two shipyards, Jinling Shipyard and Jiangdong Shipyard, from Sinotrans & CSC and integrated the two yards into China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI).
 
3.Hong Kong-based Cosco Shipping Ports has purchased a 4.34% stake in Shenzhen-listed Beibu Gulf Port Co for a total consideration of approximately RMB 470 million (USD 68 mln).
 
4.Hong Kong's November exports fell 0.8 per cent year on after posting a 14 per cent increase in October, marking the first decline since January 2017, reported the Census and Statistics Department.
 
5.China surpassed the United States in yearly gross crude oil imports during 2017, importing 8.4 million barrels per day (b/d) in comparison to 7.9 million b/d for the United States.

7.China will restrict imports of scrap steel and aluminium from July 1 in 2019, the environment ministry said on December 29.
 
8.MV Visborg sets new benchmark in chinese construction.Following the official naming ceremony for MV Visborg on 8 December 2018, the newbuilding was delivered from GSI on 14.12.2018 to Rederiaktiebolaget Gotland.
