Spot rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday jumped 7.5 per cent to US$832 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade rose 4.2 per cent to $821 per TEU. Asia to US west coast dropped 4.7 per cent to $1,935 per FEU while those to the east coast fell 7.5 per cent to $2,901 per FEU.
