Forum on Guangxi-Hong Kong Port and Logistics Cooperation xinde marine news 2018-12-13 11:07

Apart from the “Belt and Road” Initiative, there are many major development projects in the Mainland China, one of which being the “International Land-Sea New Trade Channel” which was officially renamed recently.  The Channel aims at enhancing connectivity between the Western part of the Mainland China, ASEAN countries and Europe through rail-sea intermodal transportation.  To keep port, logistics and maritime industries abreast of the project and the development of the Western part of China, as well as to explore the potential opportunities therein, the Transport and Housing Bureau of HKSAR Government jointly organised the “Forum on Guangxi-Hong Kong Port and Logistics Cooperation” with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Beibu Gulf Economic Zone Planning and Management Office, with the support of the co-organiser Hong Kong Trade Development Council.  The Forum was attended not only by the officials of the HKSAR Government and Guangxi Government, but also over 100 industry representatives from both places to exchange ideas and network with one another during the tea reception.
