1.The Chinese Ministry of Transport issued a notice to ensure the safety and security of maritime transportation of LNG. Namely, the notice requires all relevant actors to?implement safety measures for LNG transport and improve?supervisions and inspections.
 
2.Greek businessmen and Chinese scholars expressed their optimism regarding the cooperation between the two countries as far as the Belt and Road Initiative is concerned, during a forum on December 10 at Piraeus port.
 
3.Singapore-based First Ship Lease Trust (FSL Trust) Management has entered into a letter of intent with China’s Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) to order two LR2 product tankers, fitted with scrubbers, for around $97.2m.
 
4.Abu Dhabi, UAE: Monday 10 December 2018 – COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited held the inauguration ceremony for the CSP Abu Dhabi Terminal with Abu Dhabi Ports during a high-level event at the Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi. 
 
5.China’s largest shipping group, COSCO Shipping, is considering raising capital for the first time on the London Stock Exchange through a new initiative with Shanghai’s bourse, two finance sources familiar with the matter said.
 
6.China's iron ore futures finished higher on Tuesday.The most active contract for May 2019 delivery ended the day session up 0.53 percent to 474.5 yuan per ton. 
 
7.Hong Kong’s Insurance Authority took the opportunity of the inaugural Asian Insurance Platform to launch its Belt and Road Insurance and Exchange Facilitation platform which aims to bring together insurance and risk expertise to serve China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
 
8.Chinese soybean imports fell to a two-year low in November according to the data from the General Administration of Customs. Imports came in at 5.38mt, down 38% year-on-year and 22.2% lower than October.
