Spot rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday increased 1.2 per cent to US$747 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade also up 3.7 per cent to $783 per TEU. Asia to US west coast declined 2.5 per cent to $2,190 per FEU while those to the east coast fell 6.8 per cent to $3,403 per FEU.
