OOCL offers three new Asia-South Africa direct routes xinde marine news 2018-11-19 15:01


Hong Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has introduced its new South Africa products, namely the South Africa Service 1 (SAF1), South Africa Service 2 (SAF2) and South Africa Service 3 (SAF3) effective from December 6, November 30, and December 11.
 
The ocean carrier said in a statement that the introduction of the new services is part of its continual expansion of its business network in the African market and to meet the growing demand for quality services in the region.
 
The three services will provide competitive and reliable services between Asia and South Africa with direct calls to strategic ports including Durban Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
 
The SAF1 will rotate through Shanghai, Ningbo, Keelung, Singapore, Durban, Singapore and return to Shanghai.
 
The SAF2 will rotate through Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Shekou, Singapore, Port Kelang, Durban, Cape Town, Port Kelang, Singapore and return to Kaohsiung.
 
The SAF3 will rotate through Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Singapore, Port Kelang, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Port Kelang, Qinzhou, Hong Kongand return to Xingang.
 
Meanwhile, OOCL has announced that "in view of commercial considerations" cancellations have been made on its Asia-Europe sailings.
 
The Asia-East Mediterranean and Black Sea Service (EM2) has been affected: Westbound: ETA Qingdao on December 6, 2018 in Week 49; Eastbound: ETA Ashdod on January 1, 2019 in Week 1: Westbound: ETA Qingdao on December 13, 2018 in Week 50 and Eastbound: ETA Ashdod on January 8, 2019 in Week 2.
