1.The Danish shipping company TORM established a joint venture with scrubber manufacturer ME Production and Guangzhou Shipyard International,to manufacture scrubbers to reduce sulphur emissions in respect of the IMO 2020 limit.
 
2.HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) announced an additional service loop called the North Asia Express (JKN) that becomes operational January 1.
 
3.Miami-based  SunStone Ships has declared option number two at CMHI shipyard after signing a long-term charter contract with Victory Cruise Line for the vessel,with a total of three newbuilds now under construction at the Chinese yard.
 
4.Coal handling capacity at Caofeidian Port Phase II was expected to exceed 32 million tonnes in 2018.
 
5.China's iron ore futures ended higher on Friday.The most active contract for January,2019 delivery finished the day session 1.94% higher at 525 yuan per ton.
 
6.Around $57.83 billion worth of deals were agreed for the year ahead at the China International Import Expo (CIIE).
 
7.Japan-based Mitsui & Co ordered two bulk carriers from China's Yangzijiang Shipbuilding.
 
8.The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s (MPA) training arm–MPA Academy (MPAA)–and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU),are jointly organising the 8th Maritime Public Leaders’Programme (MPLP) from 12 to 16 November 2018.
