Caofeidian Phase II's coal handling may exceed 32 mln xinde marine news 2018-11-12 13:40

Coal handling capacity at Caofeidian Port Phase II was expected to exceed 32 million tonnes in 2018. Over January-October, it has reached 26 million tonnes accumulatively, exceeding the total volume in the preceding year and completing the 2018 target two months ahead of schedule, said jrj.com, a famous finance-dedicated website, in early November.

The second phase of the project was put into production in 2015 and started the first shipment in September of the same year. Its handling capacity has amounted to 23.1 million tonnes in 2017, surging 90.9% from the previous year.

China's coal demand has maintained an overall growing trend amid China's steady and sound growing environment.

Coal production capacity has been released to a large extend owing to the country's series of policies of encouraging efficient production to replace the undeveloped.

The railway station's requirements in improving loading and unloading efficiency has also attributed to the traffic volume.

Besides, planed overhaul in Daqin railway in late September to October has push large transportation to head to Caofeidian port.
