CIMC Awarded Quarters and Utilities contract with BP xinde marine news 2018-10-30 16:52


CIMC Raffles has been awarded a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contract for a Self-installing (jack-up) Platform as part of BP’s Tortue/Ahmeyim field development for Tortue Phase 1. The contract provides a mechanism to allow a transition to an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract at a later stage. BP is one of the largest oil and gas enterprises in the world, operating in over 70 countries including China – where it has had business activities and partnerships since the 1970s.
 
The platform will serve the Tortue/Ahmeyim Field Development, a major LNG (liquefied natural gas) project located offshore on the maritime border of Mauritania and Senegal. The platform is designed to accommodate over 200 personnel onboard and to be installed approximately in 30m water depth. The platform will also provide utilities for the hub. 
 
“The platform will provide high quality living quarters on the sea with industry standard specifications,” as introduced by Fu Qiang, the Project Engineering Director from CIMC Raffles. “The platform will provide a safe and comfortable living space. The platform is also designed to incorporate cutting edge safety and security features and satisfy both the HAB++(OS) standard, which is the highest standard of American Bureau of Shipping, as well as BP’s own standards.”
 
“Based on the proven design of Agosto 12, and with the joint force from Sweden Bassoe Technology(BT) R&D center, we believe we can deliver a satisfactory  solution to our Client,” as introduced by Mr. Tang Shengtao, VP of CIMC Raffles.
