Spot rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday increased 4.7 per cent to US$761 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade rates were up 3.6 per cent to $778 per TEU. Asia to the US west coast increased 70 per cent to $2,587 per FEU, and by 60 per cent to US east coast to $3,294 per FEU.
