Maersk and NetEase Kaola enters into a strategic partnership to bolster global growing consumption,according to Xinde Marine News.

Maersk signs a Global Transport and Logistics Strategic Partnership Agreement with China’s E-Commerce giant NetEase Kaola today in Hangzhou, China. The cooperation aims to bolster the growing trend of consumption upgrades among the rising worldwide consumers.
 
The 3-year agreement will position Maersk as the direct provider of transport & logistics services for NetEase Kaola globally, solidifying its commitment of bringing more authentic and high-quality products from extensive numbers of established domestic and international brands to both overseas and Chinese consumers on a broader and faster scale. The cooperation will also broaden exposure in the booming global market for more local and foreign manufacturers alongside those 5,000 brands from 80 countries that are already in collaboration with the platform operator for comprehensive product categories.  
 
Ms. Caroline Wu Bingqing, current Managing Director of Damco Greater China and forthcoming Area Managing Director, Maersk Greater China, presided over the signing ceremony. She said: “We are excited to embark with NetEase Kaola on this strategic partnership journey which is founded on our shared value and mutual goals. Through continuous propelling for global trade, both consumers and manufacturers will gain the benefits. Leveraging the global resources, logistics expertise and advanced technology of the two leaders in its respective industries, we will be better positioned to capitalize China’s surging demand for overseas premium products through full supply chain synergy with increased predictability, reliability and visibility.”
