The "Decision on Amending the Measures for the Management of Crew Registration" was passed on August 27, 2018 by the 14th Ministerial Conference of the Ministry of Transport of China. It will take effect on September 1, 2018.

 

According to the revised Regulation, From September 1st, 2018, Taiwan residents can apply for the crew examinations by means of a valid Taiwan resident certificate of the People's Republic of China or a Taiwanese resident's transit permit to the maritime administration with the corresponding crew examination management authority in the mainland. Hong Kong and Macao residents can With the valid Hong Kong and Macao resident certificate of the People's Republic of China or the Hong Kong and Macao residents' travel permit to the Mainland, the maritime administration with the corresponding crew examination management authority in the Mainland shall sign up for the crew examination.
