Global shipping leader CMA CGM Group has unveiled a landmark $20 billion commitment to strengthen America’s maritime, logistics, and supply chain capabilities over the next four years. The investment underscores the Group’s 35-year partnership with the U.S., where it currently operates in 40 states and employs 15,000 Americans.

Fleet Expansion: Triple the size of its U.S.-flagged fleet (APL) to 30 vessels, prioritizing orders at South Korean shipyards while exploring opportunities with U.S. shipyards.

Port Modernization: Upgrade critical terminals in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Houston, and Dutch Harbor to enhance efficiency and digitization.

Air Cargo Hub: Launch a Chicago-based freight hub with 5 Boeing 777 aircraft, operated by U.S. pilots, to accelerate time-sensitive cargo delivery.

Logistics Innovation: Modernize CEVA Logistics’ 200+ U.S. warehouses, build automotive logistics platforms, and establish a Boston R&D hub focused on robotics and automation.

Job Creation: 10,000 new American jobs across maritime, aviation, and tech sectors.
