New RoRo Shipping Route Connects Scandinavia and Asia! Xinde Marine News Pang Kai 2024-10-18 13:21

Exciting news from the Port of Gothenburg! The newly launched RoRo shipping service, operated by COSCO Shipping, now offers a direct connection between Scandinavia and major ports in Singapore and China. This new route is a game changer for automotive and project cargo transport, reducing transit time, costs, and emissions.

As the key automotive hub in Northern Europe, Gothenburg’s strategic location is strengthened with this service, enabling efficient and eco-friendly transport solutions. The 199.9m RoRo vessel can carry up to 7,500 cars, and with LNG-powered vessels, it further enhances sustainability in shipping.

This development is also perfectly timed with the growing demand for Chinese automotive brands in Scandinavia, providing stable return cargo options for the new route.

Together with Gothenburg Port, COSCO is committed to optimizing shipping services and promoting greener, smarter logistics. This partnership not only boosts automotive trade but also opens new opportunities for future cooperation.
